At the first signs of day, Artemis was awake. She felt restless and decided it was time for another visit to Appledale. Once she had fully awoken and climbed down the tree, she found one of her favourite sweet flowers to eat for breakfast. She walked to Appledale slowly, taking in the morning beauty of the forest, immersing herself in her own thoughts. When she got to Appledale, she walked along the streets until arriving outside of The Frog. Artemis crept into the pub, trying to attract as little attention as she could, and sat herself at the bar. “I’d like a lemon, lime and bitters, please,” she said to the bartender, who gave a small nod and began making her beverage. Her eyes searched the little pub, examining the days patrons.
Artemis | Nymph – Air | Age 680 | Evanna Lynch | TAKEN
Biography: One of Persephone’s daughters and also favored by the woman, Artemis is a very soft spoken and odd Nymph. She daydreams and sings her days away and listens to her Mother’s words and teachings with half her mind on the lesson and the other half wondering what is going on outside of Drymus. From a young age Persephone taught Artemis that there is no room for love in the life as a Nymph, and Artemis understood it. Love would be messy, but also very interesting, at least, wouldn’t it?
Curiosity took over her one evening and she left the tree with her sleeping Mother within it, going towards Veneficus where she smelled fire. Her feet led her to a home where she watched another Nymph die, her body turning into her element and Artemis’ eyes went wide with terror. The man saw who she was and she saw him, and before he could do the same to her she turned and left as quickly as possible. The experience hindered her from wanting anything to do with love, and she fully understood what her Mother meant in that moment.
Regardless of it, part of Artemis is still curious about the outside world and has a habit of speaking in little songs and riddles to everyone including Persephone. Her want to go out and explore stays within Drymus’ limits and the daylight hours of Appledale, for she fears meeting the man she saw that evening.
- Gregory is the one she saw that night, though she doesn’t know his name, she will know who he is the second she sees him
- Persephone is her mother
Artemis sat on a branch in her family’s tree. She pulled leaves -which had become entangled during the day- out from her blonde locks and looked upon the sparkling stream below. She watched some of the other nymphs run about the forest in the moonlight. She felt a small pang of jealousy in her stomach, but put on a smile and waved to her fellow nymphs. One day I’ll be down there with them, she thought, one day…
Ah, the Forest looks so lovely at this time, but I guess it’s getting dark… so time to head back to our tree.
